Mount A is a premier university where your dollar works hard. While many universities charge fees on top of tuition, Mount A prefers to include most of their fees within the general tuition fee - so the price of a Mount Allison education is not as high as you might think. Our 2008-2009 International Tuition Fee is only $13,440.00 for a Full-Time student!

International students are eligible for all scholarships and bursaries. In 2007, 65% of our entering class received entrance awards. Students may also apply for financial aid bursaries when they arrive on campus, which are based on financial need. ount Allison offers a very generous bursary program. Being short on funds can be stressful, and Mount A recognizes that the more time you spend worrying about finances, the less time you have to maximize your university experience.

Once you arrive on campus, you can apply for a financial aid bursary. We have one of the friendliest Financial Aid & Awards Counsellors around. Where else can you ask for money and receive a smile?
While the average bursary ranges from $600 to $800, based on financial need, students may be awarded between $1,000 and $1,500.
Scholarships at Mount A
Mount Allison's strong and active scholarship
program is designed to attract top applicants who will not only
benefit from the special living and learning environment that Mount
A provides, but will also contribute to and enhance the university
community. Entrance Scholarships are not only based on marks.
Extracurricular and community involvement are also considered by
our admissions team, so be sure to tell us as much about yourself
as you like. With an 80% calculated admission average or
equivalent, and meeting all deadlines, you will be offered a
minimum of $500. Scholarship offers then range up to $12,000, and
are renewable over your four years here. 
Expected Financial Costs of studying at Mount A
To obtain a study permit, you will be required
to provide evidence that you, your family, or your sponsor can
readily afford the cost of an education in Canada on an ongoing
basis. You must demonstrate that you will have enough money during
your stay in Canada to pay for tuition fees, books, living expenses
for yourself and any accompanying dependents, and return
transportation for both yourself and your accompanying dependents
(family).
According to Citizenship and Immigration Canada guidelines, a
single person will require approximately $10,000 Canadian per year,
not including tuition fees, to cover their living expenses. While
Mount Allison and the Sackville community are not more expensive
than other parts of Canada, we recommend $11,500 for living
expenses. Tuition at Mount Allison costs $13,440 per year. The
recommended total for Mount Allison is approximately $25,000,
excluding airfare. If dependents will accompany or join you later,
an additional $4,000 is required for the first dependent and $3,000
for each subsequent dependent, in addition to return airfare.
